*Note: Ceremonial laws and the Ten Commandment Laws are distinct laws. The Ten Commandments are eternal: God spoke them and wrote them in stone with His finger, Deut. 5; they are confirmed many times in the New Testament, both before and after the Cross:  Mark 2 & 16; Luke 4 & 23; Acts 13, 15, 16, 17, 18 & 28.

FREE-WILL GIFTS

AFTER: CROSS
Matt 25:34-36

We now give to Christ, our High Priest, by caring for needy: naked, hungry, homeless, etc.

PAUL
1 Cor. 9:15, 18, 19
2 Cor. 11:7-11 ('support") RSV
Acts 18:1-3
2 Thess 3:6-13

Paul accepted free-will gifts from friends; he did not charge. He made tents "so as not to be a burden." Being of the tribe of Benjamin, he could not legally accept tithes even before Christ's death made the ceremonial law void.

THOSE AWAITING CHRIST'S RETURN
Matt. 25:34-36
1 Cor. 9:18,19
2 Cor. 11:13-15
Rev. 22:14

Christ, our High Priest, died "once for all." We show appreciation by caring for Jesus' needy brothers and siters until He comes in glory!
