WHO JESUS IS AND IS NOT
Compiled by
Calvin Goode.
PART 1
"He must increase, but I must decrease." John 3:30.
"My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and
earth." Psalm 121:2.
If
believing and knowing Jesus Christ means eternal life
(John 3:16; 17:3), then we must know who He is and is not.
This simple, self-study is written for men, women, youth,
and children everywhere in hopes of their being right with
Jesus and ready for His soon, glorious second advent (Luke
21:25-36). After studying it, please share it with someone
else. Thank you.
"For I am not ashamed of the
gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto
salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first,
and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of
God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The
just shall live by faith." Romans 1:16, 17. (Remember the
gospel commission in Matthew 28:18-20.)The
ceremonial laws and the ceremonial system were established
and introduced by God after man transgressed. Before the
time of Moses, the Bible tells us that Abraham, Abel,
Cain, and Job offered sacrifices. (Hebrews 11; Genesis 4,
22; and 8; Job 1.)

PART 2Jesus asked His disciples
when on earth almost two thousand years ago, "Whom do men
say that I am?" (Mark 8:27) They answered, "John the
Baptist, Elijah, or one of the prophets". (Mark 8:28)
Many are getting it wrong again today. Some believe that
Jesus was only a good man, an insignificant person in
history, a prophet only, or Michael the archangel.
Dear Reader, who do you say Jesus is? Hopefully, like
the apostle Peter, you can say that Jesus is the Christ
(Mark 8:29), and also your personal Savior. (Remember, the
Bible never calls Jesus a created angel or non-deity, but
Deity in the flesh, as we have previously seen.)
"Let not your heart be
troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my
Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I
would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And
if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again,
and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may
be also." John 14:1-3.
"He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come
quickly. Amen. Even so, come Lord Jesus. The grace of our
Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen." Revelation
22:20, 21.

"Then saith Jesus unto his disciples, The harvest is
plenteous, but the laborers are few; Pray ye therefore the
Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into
his harvest." Matthew 9:37, 38.

"Repent ye therefore, and be
converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the
times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the
Lord; And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was
preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the
times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken
by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world
began." Acts 3:19-21.
"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all
the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall
the end come. But he that shall endure unto the end, the
same shall be saved." Matthew 24:14, 13.
